New member HC Ong join us for the first time.
Ang, Freddy & Ch'ng start off from Parkview at 7:15am and meet up Ong at Paya Terubong Shell Petrol Station. From there, we ride to Air Itam Kek Lok Si foothill coffee shop for breakfast.
After breakfast, we start our ride up Air Itam Dam. As usual Ang arrived first, followed by Ch'ng, Freddy & Ong. We took a short rest & some photos and start our ascend up to Hillturn.
Surprisingly, I made it all the way to Hillturn without stopping. The last time I went up Hill turn via Balik Pulau, I have to push quite a distance.
From Hillturn we decide to go up to Ngor Hean. It took us about 10 - 15mins to reach there. It was my first time there and the view of Balik Pulau was breadthtaking. We have a few photo shots and descend back to Hillturn. From Hillturn we took the path of the recent Kayuh Lasak trail towards Blue Hill. From the start, we have to push our bikes as the trail was very narrow, steep and slippery. Ocassionally, we got to ride a short distances when the trail is a little forgiving. It took us thru dense jungle, narrow tracks, dense vegetation tracks, thru vegetable farms and also some bee house along the way.
I was surprise to see such awesome sight of hillside vegetable farm, flower farm, orchards and breadthtaking view of the valley.
We the descend to Paya Terubong ending our downhill at Taman Oriental in Paya Terubong. The track was fantastic with wide cement road. The downhill was fast & furious and it was really a very long downhill. Both my hands were numb & I can feel my joints aching. But it was really thrilling.
From there, Ong decide to head home as he stays nearby at Bukit Awana while me, Ch'ng & Ang head for our favourite Chicken Rice shop in Paya Terubong for lunch.
After lunch, we all head back to Parkview and it was already noon. Me & Ch'ng wash our "machines" and head home.
